What would've happened if the American Revolution failed?
There would have been many reasons if the American Revolution had failed since it was opposite whatever happened. I am going to share only a couple of them.
Some colonies would have had one religion and church. They would have been forced to follow the one religion. This is what Britain had done. For this reason, pilgrims had come from Britain to America for freedom of religion and church. This was not a law in the future American Government.
If the colonies had independence a little bit later, the House of Senate would depend of the population. The reason for this is because not many immigrants would be moving in to America.
Texas would still be a part of Mexico after all; America wouldn’t be to acquire land. America had later acquired Texas for more land. Texas had also had lot of resources.
There would still be taxation without representation. This means getting taxed without being asked. The colonies before the American Revolution did not like the taxes because it was too high. The families lost lot of money that they earned to paying taxes.
There would still be thirteen colonies which would have been too small. This also leads to the reason, why there would not be an army. British’s army would still be snooping into homes without any reason. This had ruined the family’s privacy and time to spend together.
All these reasons conclude to:
- America under British rule.
- Not being able to express ideas in public.
- No Freedom of Religion and Speech.
- No Freedom of Press.
