What was the death toll of the people who fought in the American Revolution
There were many death tolls of American Revolution War. Some with heavy blood spills. Some had few deaths. Both sides had fought the war bravely, so you know that the death tolls show this. The total death toll of the whole American Revolution was 4,435 people. The total wounded was 6,188 people.
The first blood spill was in Boston massacre. History says 5 colonists and some 7 colonists died in the massacre. It all began when a group of colonists started teasing and throwing snowballs at a soldier who was guarding the tax house. His fellow “friends” came and helped him out. The leader of the soldiers told them not to fire at the colonists but the soldiers did not listen because they could not hear the leader properly, so they fired and the colonist died. One of the dead colonists included a very young man.
Several minutemen died at the warning of Lexington. The British soldiers had battled the minutemen when they met at Lexington. Another battle here was also in Concord and in Massachusetts, there lots and lots of blood was spilled. Some colonists were burned because of the British soldiers.
Native Americans had helped out in the American Revolution. About a 100 neutral Native Americans had died during the war. This was sad because in the future they would be very less in numbers. Another foreign group of helpers also died because of breakout in smallpox. This group included African Americans.
Lot of General Dunmore’s men had died too. In fact, lots of blood had fallen on the British side also at that time. One cause was the small pox.
